Yeah, the great FF entries all succeed at world immersion. 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 explained the world to you. 12 was pretty good at it. 13 didn't. I'm not far enough in to make any judgments, but I stopped after chapter 1 and so far I don't really know the details on the world I'm exploring and since there's no fish out of water character, I don't know that 15 will do that.

I don't know wtf I'm doing in combat and I can barely keep up with where my character is on screen. Doesn't help that all the main cast look the same.

I think it explains how the conflict occurred(it's a scenario akin to older FF games with the crystal and has some ffxii thrown in) and what's expected of characters like luna pretty well
