He has let a women's basketball program that used to be one of the top programs in the nation go to absolute crap.
He has let our men's basketball program fall to pieces because he somehow can't see that the problem is Johnny Jones. Had the best player in the nation couldn't even get to the tourney.
He fired Miles a few games too late so we missed out on what could have been a spectacular football season. In my opinion one for the ages. This one pisses me off the most.
Enough is enough when is Alleva going to be held accountable.

At this point all we have to look forward to is baseball.

If you are given 5$ by your wife to go buy a house, and she told you it had to be in a nice neighborhood, should you be held responsible when she doesn't like it?

No, she interfered, and didn't give you enough money to buy the house.

Alleva has a lot of bosses to answer to. He isn't sole owner in making all these decisions.

I never would've hired him after the duke lacrosse fiasco. But I don't know if he's to blame for the Miles fiasco. If you recall, the reports say that FKing and some politicians got involved. And none of us know what's going on with the coaching search.

They wanted a neutered AD that would do exactly what they want and take the blame when it didn't work out.

From 1990-2008 LSU won 29 national championships, 10 of those coming from 2000-2008.

Since 2008 LSU has won 2.

Before Alleva LSU led the SEC - and all teams outside of California, in national championships. Not any more.

I agree, it's time to find someone more motivated.

I think the Joe Alleva hate is a little misguided. He tried to give fans what they want, and what the program needs in Jimbo instead of Miles last year. Whether Jimbo turned it down or FKing and board members turned it down, it doesn't seem to be his fault.

He was in a tough situation with UF in September, it was 2 against 1, and I think he got an optimal result given the constraints. He knew he would take hits in the media but at least saved us a home game.

As for bball, I don't pay much attention to it, but it seems that the #1 recruit wasn't going to do much for any school, he probably picked LSU because he knew we would treat him like royalty, unlike at UK where they're used to players like him. He wanted to skate by and wait for the NBA, never had intentions of putting up a lot of effort for us.

The coaching situation last year certainly made Alleva look dumb, but it seems he did all he could do.
