The only difference with Rise is you are in the snow. There is slightly more customization, but not that different.

I would need to go back and play the reboot but Rise felt flat. No pulse in the story for me.
Something about the reboot pulled me right in but rise was a pain to shovel through. Enjoyable just because shooting the bow in tomb raider is fun but nothing special.
It does start out epic IMO.
