I've watched it several times also. It looks to me like 44 going left was a decoy and Guice was going right from the get-go (UF ran that exact play and failed earlier on 3rd and short). Our DE's crashed around both ends. Guice started right and saw the DE crashing around. Seeing this he hesitates, then goes straight ahead. Both crashing DE's grab his legs and No 93 stands up in his face preventing reaching over. Had he swept left he might have made it, but I don't think that was the call.

Etling double-clutched the exchange. He clearly didn't expect Guice to be where he was. Whether or not that is on Guice is only known inside the program, but if O hinted at the back going the wrong way, I'd say that probably tells us all we need to know.
