I think that not all Auror's are Law Enforcement. She may have been more of a social worker auror. Like finding abused children wizards, which explains why she was at the Barebone house.

Also, it would be interesting if Grindelwald did have the Elder Wand and now Tina is the rightful owner since she's the one that disarmed him.
