I might be in the minority here but I've always loved that about college, the urgency. You have to win almost all your games to win a championship, maybe one slip up.
I'm not in favor of more games and a nfl like season. It's why I'm not really a nfl fan because the passions isn't there because they can afford to lose games. It's boring imo.

The problem is that it rewards teams from weaker conferences.

I agree. I'm a fan of the NFL but do not feel devastated when my team loses because they can still get in the playoffs with numerous losses. When LSU loses a game, usually that means there will be no championship. It creates a much bigger atmosphere for every non-cupcake game (which is all but 2-3 games each year).
