Not true.

He took advantage of an opportunity. After that Auburn loss, he had leverage to do what was necessary.

It also gives us time to get ahead of other teams in negotiations that are also in the hunt for coaches after the year.

Alleva needed no leverage and definitely did not need to give any interim coach any kind of leverage, which O will have if he goes 5-1.. he is the AD, he can hire and fire.... Miles would have either righted the ship (like O) or would have continued the path to get fired, which was most likely

There were no real negotiations that happened in Sept or Oct that could not have just happened in November.. no big time target is going to commit without knowing what else is out there first.

On point as usual.

I can't imagine how LSU would look today if we didn't fire Les - I think it was becoming so stagnant and suffocating.

Opening it up and letting everyone know we were in search of new coach was also a positive.
