Yes, it is.

However, I can also see the criticism that it's too slow.

Like Game of Thrones, it has a huge, winding pile of threads interwoven throughout that make up the plot, but unlike GoT, there hasn't been a ton of action presented to help ease the tedium as the story unfolds.
Like GoT, there's some great acting, and they have several marquee names at the top; bigger names than any GoT had, in fact. Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris, which I would say trumps Sean Bean as Ned Stark (although he was perfect).
It can be distracting, as there is the "real" storyline, and then the "park's storylines", and you kind of have to follow both, even if the park's is just filler.


It's a good show, it NEEDS to start moving. I think it finally shifted gears this latest episode.
