Yep. It was the longest streak in the FBS, dating back to their upset win over Tennessee that season.
In fact, we can all thank that punt return and Phat Phil's incessant whining about it for the clarification of the rules about when a player is down. The Memphis KO returner fell over backwards, but somehow got his elbow down, stabilized himself, and popped back up and started running. Several of the UT players stopped because it looked like he was down, but the refs didn't blow the play dead and there obviously wasn't any replay at the time.
The next year, the NCAA amended the rules to say that anything other than your hand touching the ground is down, unless you are holding for a field goal.
