Millions of people in California/New York/New Jersey/Illinois stay home because it is impossible to win those states. You could see almost another million coming from California alone if popular vote was the decider.

Ditto for Texas and solid red states.

It is impossible to know how many people would vote if the rules stated popular vote.

What is so hard to understand? Under the only and same rules we have always had there is only one winner no questions.

The EC is designed like that for a reason. Rural vote needs to matter. They are a key working population of our country.

Blue-dog dems understood this and campaigned in this country. Hillary thought she could ride the city-vote. Then the blue-collar union people would come around. Union jobs are gone and so were the votes. They fricked that up.

If we go on the popular vote the rural vote will be meaningless. If dems think the house is tough to deal with now, they need to see what it would be like if they completely shite on them every presidential election
