re: ICYMI: How are you going to tell your children Trump won?

Actual post by my cousin who lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The melt up there is awesome.

I too have to wake up my kids now and try to explain what America was thinking and I am not really sure what to say to them. Trying to raise my kids to be good humans that respect everyone no matter their race, gender or choice of lifestyle and that your behaviour, actions and words matter. On a side note I also have to convince my kids that Trump is not going to bomb Canada and that we are still allowed to see our relatives in the US. Might as well toss Rylan's US passport while I am at it since Trump plans on revoking birthright citizenship.
