I wish he had done a better job in the primary debates. He's such a smart man but, he just underperformed so badly.

Those debates were train wrecks. What did you want him to do? Yell during everybody's time? They never gave him the floor.

He really didn't underperform. His answers were well-thought and concise. The media was too busy accidentally championing Trump to give him any airtime.
