Yes, I agree, but I'm also sick of this BS coming up.

Agree. I couldn't help but bring it up again only because Alabama fans are so damn arrogant.

You would think they would have some humility especially considering LSU could have been today's College Dynasty!

The sky is blue.

The grass is green.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

The difference was that Les did not recruit as well on the DL and OL on a consistent basis...CLM wanted to pound the rock, but he didn't have enough dominant OLmen to make it happen vs. a dominant DL like Bama...and you can't miss on the DTs or your defense can't control the game like is necessary...and he was a poor judge of QB talent...jmho

Main differences are Nick evolved his offense and SEC officials bought and paid for

I just think elite programs should go after the best candidate(s) available. By nature of the uncertainty and his past, Orgeron would not be that guy.

I am a virgin on the Rant but have been a lurker for years. One of my best friends is a huge Tiger fan and he has introduced me to your football and how fun it has been. I was there when LSU beat Florida when they were #1 and frankly, unbeatable. Had Spurrier won that game he would have supplanted the Bear with the longest SEC win streak of all time. I thank you for that and I stormed the field with your amazing fans. I was there again when y.all beat Auburn and the Aubs stomped on the Tiger midfield... That was a mistake. I was there again, thankfully on 2 Bama wins, again, with my LSU friend and had a great experience. But I have to say that I disagree with your comment that Saban is the difference in the program historically as you well know if you are a long time SEC afficiando. Sure, recent success, absolutely. Bama would have eventually found a winning coach but we were lucky to land Saban. Anyway, I am now coming back after a long absence and bringing my 10 year old son... Y'all be nice and good luck. Geaux and may the best team win.

Thanks for your input. I believe this game has the potential to be as special as the 2011 game and could come down to the last possession especially considering that both teams possess an elite defense. Hope you have a blast!

If he had gone to Alabama in 2000, he would have left them for the NFL at some point. It had nothing to do with LSU. It was an itch that had to be scratched.

He really showed his mettle - he stuck it out at his dream job for 2 WHOLE years.
