Walking Dead is one of the, if not the most overrated shows ever done. The writing is monumentally bad, the story goes in circles from one villain to the next every time the group gets to a new area, a main character is killed off, rinse and repeat. What's sad is I felt the first season was very promising but it went to absolute shite not long after.

DO NOT go in the WD threads saying this. You'll be shite on hardcore.

No one says TWD is the greatest thing to ever hit television. It's above average. Very good if you like the subject matter, and interesting from week to week, despite the over reaction in this thread like this:

Nope

Well this is funny seeing the other show in contention here.

quote:

it went to absolute shite

No it didn't.

That's a ton of over reaction. TWD is pretty good.

I'm not a GoT fan, and I can't comment on the show now, but the first 3 seasons are pretty good too. Nothing earth shattering, just extremely predictable characters constantly playing political games, rather than extremely predictable characters playing post-apocalyptic cat and mouse games.

GoT was extremely boring, with nothing redeeming in the show beyond production values and only a couple of truly interesting characters. Everyone else was just seeing who could be the biggest a-hole from week to week, both literally and figuratively. My opinion could change when I finish it, but I'm going to let it end first, then I'll watch it all in one go, it might get more interesting that way

In the end, to each his own, I wouldn't NOT watch either one. Give them both a shot and see what engages you more. Don't blindly listen to either the GoT love or the TWD love, especially when someone slams a show unfairly then says that the other show is SO MUCH BETTER!
