My grandfather employed a couple of black guys, one had a nickname of T-Neg....which I used freely when I was very young, till my dad informed me that it wasn't wise to go around calling black folk T-Neg.

I was raised in Cut Off. My grandpa calls everyone Neg. It really is a term of endearment down there. Hell, even I use it sometimes. I just know when not to in some situations
