If you're going with Epiphone, get the Lest Paul 1960's Tribute Plus.
it's about as close to being a full blown gibson as you can get on a budget.
real mahogany with a hard maple cap (instead of a cheap veneer) and actual Gibson 1957 PAF pickups.
