well now wait a minute. Are you talking about abortion-which, thought abhorrent, is legal- or actual murder? Because I don't know any state in the country where killing a kid is legal.
And we harvest bears, mountain lions, wolves, etc under legal conditions. Suggesting that this is an overly harsh or unjust punishment simply because the legal system fails to properly punish other crimes is silly.
If anything, I think they got it right on this crime and fail to do so on many other infractions. I'm all for finding fault when people slide on DUIs, felonies and crimes of a more egregious nature. But I won't find fault with the decision here just cause judges/juries get it wrong the rest of the time.
