Well history is definitely not on our side when cleaning house and starting with an all new coaching staff.. at least there is an actual sample size.. Texas, Tennessee, USC, penn state have all failed big time when cleaning house and hiring a flavor of the month coach. Why not atleast retain coach o and keep some of the momentum?

" why not at least retain coach O"

A primary evaluation factor when hiring someone is to find out if they have ever performed functions closely resembling those that you want performed in the current job opening and if so, how well were they performed. His past head-coaching results will be a major obstacle for him to overcome. imo
