We cant afford to put our first round pick on him.....too many other needs.
Payton is probably stupid enough to not only waste our first round pick on him but trades up causing us to give away a 3rd rounder as well.

I agree defense needs players but we've drafted a lot of players early on defense. In the last nine years the Saints have used seven 1st round picks on defense. We have picked Ellis, Jenkins, Robinson, Jordan, Viccaro, Anthony, and Rankins on defense and only picked Ingram, Cooks, and Peat on offense. Look at how Elliot and the offensive line has helped Dallas.
Draft Fournette and sign a guard with our cap space and we will be fine. Keep Ingram for one more year as well letting Hightower retire. We are close to being a 12 win team. About six plays in our favor and we are 6-0.

2. Instead of blocked field goal for td we make the field goal against the Giants.
3. Fumble on punt and pick six against Falcons
4. Proper call on first challenge (foot never got down) and Fairley not fake slamming a guy to the ground.
