What I remember is all the Johnny Rebs ( No PC police back then) screaming & literally throwing their helmets over & into the hedges that lined the end zone back then. Been a long time since I've seen an entire opposing team that pissed. And afterwards, to top it off, this one 30'ish Johnny Reb fan was getting smashed around by 5 LSU fans. Older men. And then BRPD walks up, starts pulling LSU fans off, tossing them to the side, and grabbing the Reb fan, told him in very non PC language that he was under arrest for inciting a riot. As the saying goes, the look on his bloody face was priceless. Can still see Bert standing at mid field, hands on his hips, laughing his arse off.
