A mostly forgotten classic. The chemistry between Grodin and DeNiro is what makes the movie.
Also, to the audiences of the time, the rival bounty hunter was still the dorky, harmless detective from Beverly Hills Cop. That really added to the humor of it.

As good a buddy comedy as there has ever been. Grodin is an underrated actor, and this is probably his best role. The scenes with just him and Deniro - which is roughly 40 to 50 percent of the film, and more if you want to focus on the substance of the film, are pure cinematic gold.
ETA: Dennis Farina, Yaphet Koto and Joey Pants were fantastic in support of this film as well.
