If you like winning better than losing. But, you've already proven you like losing better than winning because you didn't immediately double down on that 10 instead of hitting it.

I've not doubled down before in that situation, not because I intended to hit twice, but because I didn't want to risk losing double my money.
Some times the reward is not worth the risk to me.
