Down in Clearwater for a week while my wife is here for work conferences. Anyone have any experience fishing off the shore (beach side or bay side). Went and got a fishing license, some frozen shrimp (may get some live tomorrow from bait shack). I am a freshwater fisherman but looking to do something while I'm down here for a week, while she's stuck in conferences all week. Any tips?

Thanks

I haven't fished that particular area, but have always had fun fishing the surf. the key is to get your bait as far out as you can. you may want to wade out into waist deep water and cast from there, if it is shallow pretty far out.

wish I was down around some salt water!

There is an old bridge turned into a pier that's pretty good. Flats in bays are good when water is moving

Live fish trump shrimp there
