Like others have said, you really need to decide what style of beer you like before people can make worthwhile recommendations. Because there are dozens/hundreds of good beers within each style.

Once you have a style, people can make recommendations, but you could also download/check ratebeer, which has rankings of beers by style. Start at the top and go down until you find one in your local store or bar.
