I found a name matching the spelling of our last name at the time in the records of Templar executions. My brother went to Luxembourg and found the same name and birth'death dates. Put it in to his timeline on Ancestors account and it matched up.

Date of death and place of death matched with the last Templar's public burning. Could not find his grave if there is one. Ashes don't require a grave and to play out the reason for execution, it was be leaved burying the ashes in a catholic cemetery were forbidden.

So you have an ancestry chart that goes back to 1307?!?! Seems difficult. Mine breaks down in Holland in 1600s when people start adopting surnames. Before that your last name was just your father's first name. Hard to trace that.
