From what I've read, most teams have what's called loss insurance in the event a game is "postponed." I put quotes around it because there is no date for a reschedule. Everyone knows it hasn't been pushed back a couple days, it's just "postponed."

Back to my point, if Florida were to agree to play at a different or a neutral site, that insurance is null and void. They lose it. It must be a home game for them to lose little, if any, revenue. If my understanding about that insurance is correct.

expect to play the game Sunday or Monday in Gainesville

Agreed. Another big hitch is how long Foley drug it out. He did it until the storm was already parallel to Miami, and the SEC office had to "postpone" the game. Foley forced Sankey's decision.

There could've been talks yesterday to get the stadium ready for an evening game on Monday, since the storm veered east and thankfully central Florida was spared. There were no power outages, no flooded roads, minimal damage, etc but Sankey evidently was too scared that he'd make Foley mad by doing that.

So now, according to Sankey, the game needs to be played but we all must "come together as a family." Maybe he'll bring the cookies and balloon animals too.

I've been pissed all weekend I just want to see some LSU football and these pussies fricked that up for me. A simple business as usual plan to play Sunday or Monday at the latest would have prevented all this bullshite.
