You do realize that most non-football players do this after having a son of the same name?

They wear their name on the back of their jersey???

What non-sports jobs do people wear their name on the back of their uniform???

Jr Griffey actually started this 25 yrs ago because... Ya know... There was another Ken Griffey on the team!... And Dad didn't put stupid "SR" on his jersey.

Griffey only played with his father a couple years but he kept it on his jersey, just became a thing... It was cool when he did it because 1. It was legitimate and 2 it was unique.

Putting Jr or Sr on your jersey when your son or father isn't in the league or on the team is just ignorant.

Tom Brady is actually Thomas Brady JR but amazingly he doesn't have it on his jersey.
