I live in a house built in 80s. Great house but need to update the bathroom and kitchen counter tops with marble or maybe granite etc. Some are huge so need to get as cheap as possible. For bathrooms prefer pre cut that I can just drop in. Any ideas or advice appreciated

marble and granite are always going to be expensive, especially now in this area with the increased demand from all the rebuilding. Don't take it for granite

Try Hoods in Gulfport. Close to the outlet mall. Cheapest place I was able to find.

E&E cabinets in lafayette area. They are vietnamese or something. They cant do any large cuts, only 36" wide or something like that so you will have more seems than a more expensive installers but they are cheap.
