You're probably right. I am just remembering the SA series, after which he had reached godlike status. The fact that the Magic Finals were a sweep and Hakeem scored the last points of the series on a 3 just leaves a big impression.

You are correct about the sweep and its effect. The people who looked silly were Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott.
