Hakeem Was the best player in the NBA when Jordan left
It wasnt even close
Hakeem deserves more credit. It is tarnishing his name by saying it was a couple of asterisk title years. Jordan was a better player but Hakeem those 2 years wasn't too far behind.

Hakeem had a great series, but so did Shaq. Shaq had more turnovers, and he wasn't yet able to deal with Hakeem, but Shaq was definitely the second best player in that series. I wouldn't say he was made to look silly. If someone doesn't kidnap Nick Anderson and replace him with whomever that was in the season, we probably remember that series much differently.
