Take Saban away and that's just another program. They don't have great in state talent and have to compete with Auburn. It's a top job but not #1

Ohhh boy oh boy at the ignorance in this post

Alabama was a top 10 program by any metric you want to use before Nick Saban ever arrived. "Just another program"

How long have you followed LSU football to think Alabama was "just another program" without Saban?

Now let's address not having in-state talent. As of 2015, the city of Mobile had one less player in the NFL than the city of New Orleans.

Do you know what state has the highest number of players in the NFL per capita? That's right my friend, the state of Alabama.

As for the OP list- the glaring gripe I had is with how you described Georgia. For all intents and purposes they are the same as LSU and Ohio State as far being the only show in town. Georgia Tech recruits a completely different type of player because they run a triple option. They don't go head-to-head with Georgia on the recruiting trail and win

Thats a very recent phenomena and can be attributed to the Saban effect. Historically its been Hawaii, Mississippi, Louisiana...then a VERY distant everyone else.
