Moments ago Paul Finebaum made the case that LSU isn't even a top 5 job in the SEC. He claims the coach doesn't have control becuase of boosters putting their fingers in decisions.

It's really Bama, Florida and LSU for the beat job in the conference.

He got that yesterday from Tim Brando. I'm not saying that boosters don't have influence or aren't a pain in the arse, but it's much less prevalent today than it was several years ago. Brando's opinion is a bit dated.

The LSU "booster influence" is no better or worse than it is at Bama, Auburn, A&M, Georgia, Tenn., etc. Every coach of a big time SEC program is going to have overzealous pain-in-the-arse boosters to deal with.

This is really being blown overboard.

LSU gives the HC a lot of freedom and even allows the highest paid coaching staff. Even FSU had issues.

I am really tired of seeing LSU get shite on because of what happened last season which was politics.

I don't even like Alleva, but I'm not even upset with him any more.

A great coach would do well at LSU.
