Briles was 2-3 in bowl games and gave up something like a 35 point lead vrs Mich St in one of the bowls. His "duck and chuck" offense won't work in the SEC.

There are better options and that is all that matters at this point. LSU should not be associating with Briles until they've exhausted all superior options. He is damaged goods. His actual guilt or innocence in the entire situation is irrelevant to the public perception that is associated with his presence.

If we're gonna go with a scum bag we might as well go for Petrino who has done it in the sec before and has more left in the tank.
