I hear you, but IF he DID have a gun in his hand and didn't drop it after repeated commands to drop it, it's his fault he got shot - regardless of whether or not the shooting was legally justified.
A lot of people who encounter cops are just plain stupid.
Where is the badge cam video of the cops finding the gun and holster, though.

If the perp has a gun in his hand cops have a right to defend themselves. Even if he doesn't raise the gun you can easily argue it is justified. If the cops hesitate one second to the guy raising and shooting someone could get shot. The Cops role should always be to de-escalate the situation as quickly as possible with as little death as possible. You rather the perp get shot than a cop. If a Perp has a gun cops have even right to shot him if they even feel slightly threatened. Also, any hesitation because of fear of unjustified shooting could cost cops lives. This would be a situation when in doubt shoot.

They probably didn't find a gun till after the situation calmed. Their effort was to 1) make sure the perp wasn't a threat 2) Give the perp medical attention after he was no longer a threat. If the gun is out of his hand they won't worry about finding it.

I'm saying I would think the cam would stay on and there would
Be video.

They were yelling "drop the gun" well before he got out of the vehicle, right? Does that mean they thought they saw him holding a gun inside the vehicle?
The last video doesn't look good at all.

Unless you are going to push a plant by the cops story line it doesn't matter. There are already pictures of the gun and the holster at the crime scene. I'm sure some body cam has the gun on it, but it may be well after the situation was calm.

I'm not pushing anything. I believe the cops wouldn't say put the gun down if there was no gun.
I'm more curious.

Just because they say "put the gun down" doesn't mean he was holding an actual gun. IMO it is more likely than not that he was, given how close they were to him, but he could have been holding something else that they thought was a gun.

No, that's a good point, and that's what I meant.
Look, the other thing is that this guy clearly wasn't trying to indicate to them that he didn't have a gun.
Some people are kind of stupid in critical moments.

The officers saw that he had a gun in the car before they approached him.
If you read the Chief's statement, he said the officers saw that they saw Scott rolling a blunt and then saw a gun. So the officer's knew before they even approached him that he had a gun.
Anytime the police yell at you multiple times to drop the gun and you don't listen, its suicide by cop.

Another important point to note, is in the photos that gun's hammer is cocked. As in, Scott pulled the hammer back to make it fire faster/ easier. Its dangerous as heck to have it like that in a normal setting as it takes light trigger pressure to fire. So Scott was preparing to fire his weapon, not stand down.

Someone with TBI can be fully functioning and normal. We have an IT guy that is TBI and he has occasional headache and takes seizure medicine, but 100% of the people that meet him would never know.

I have no doubt the guy had a gun and resisted arrest
but what law did he break?
Why were there like 4 cops on the seen hunting him down?
I'd like to understand the root of the situation.
Beyond that, I have seen the victims criminal record that shows us he was a model citizen in the African American community.
His wife, another pillar of wisdom is filming the scene "he better not be fing dead"
Her audio shows the police commanding "drop the gun" a number of times

The cops were looking for someone else in the area. This person was supposed to be dangerous. I think they thought this guy might be him.

Michael was just walking down the streets. Was on the ground with his hands in the air.
Alton was just selling CDs, working long hours to provide for his family.
Kieth was just reading a book.

Don't forget the guy in Tulsa was just broke down, high on PCP, looking for a ride.

The majority of, as you call them, left leaners are not making him out to be a martyr. And since you are going to generalize about their lack of solutions, one could easily say that the right leaning solutions are a police state and comply or die. You see, generalizations can work both ways.
