That's because they use tracks
They weed out the dumb kids early and start teaching them technical skills and jobs that don't require college degrees

We have finally started that in Louisiana, but wait until junior year of high school. We should start at the middle school. I am now at the high school in a town where I taught middle school. I could've pointed out the college bound kids when they were in 6th grade.

Louisiana schools are starting to do tracks now. They implement in high school though.
