I remember putting beat downs on teams and not worrying about where it was going to land on ESPN's coverage for the night. Back then, that was for Sunday mornings, fighting with the old man for the Advocate's sports page to soak it all up.
To tell you the truth, the last really big game I can remember where Tiger Stadium was rocking on all cylinders was when LSU beat Bama in Nick's first year here. That's not t say there weren't bigger games or really special moments, but the last game is remember where the electricity in that place could light up a mid sized city for at least the next couple of hours.
And the kids today would even know what to think if they could have experienced AU in 87, or my Lord, the USC game. WOW... What a game.
