I'M TIRED OF THS shite!

Occam's razor says the simplest answer is the most likely.

So, here are the possible answers. Harris looked better in practice. Etling didn't look good in practice; at least not good enough to beat out Harris. The coaches thought Harris was "just this close" to putting it together and thought he deserved the chance to try. (Les IS often loyal to a fault and there is something to be said about making a backup TAKE A JOB AWAY from a starter.)

There's no freaking conspiracy to deliberately lose or deliberately piss you off. The staff gave Harris every chance to keep the job he earned last year, then made a change when it became evidently necessary.

It's really that simple, but the self-anointed geniuses and Miles haters on this board won't accept that coaching and human behavior aren't exact sciences.

If anyone on here thinks he can coach half as well as the guys that are there, then do us all a favor and please submit your application to Alleva.

Otherwise, do us all a favor and stfu.

I think you need to calm down. And calling me names isn't going to help you make your flawed arguments based on illogical premises. This is a message board where I have a right to discuss relevant topics. So chill.

"There's no freaking conspiracy to deliberately lose or deliberately piss you off."

I believe the first part of this remark, but given the number of threads on this subject lately I'm gonna say they excel at pissing us off.

Hindsight is amazing.

There was plenty of talk about how good Etling looked going in to the season, but if you even hinted that he might see the field this season, this board would burn you at the stake for being an idiot.

BigSlick - I agree with most of your post except for your statement above.

Just because guys are coaching at LSU doesn't automatically make them great coaches who don't make bad mistakes. Many people, coaches included, rise to levels they don't deserve, for many different reasons.

This applies to all types of jobs - there are many terrible lawyers who are partners at prestigious firms, there are many crappy doctors at big hospitals, there are many terrible CEOs, etc, etc, etc.

So don't reflexively believe that all our coaches are excellent and all fans are morons. After all, football isn't that complicated, and sometimes knowledgeable fans can see things that bad coaches might miss (or might refuse to acknowledge due to more personal reasons).

So yes, some of our coaching decisions might be absolutely terrible, and just because fans aren't on the coaching staff doesn't mean the fans are wrong.
