While our talent has been up there with Bama for be last 8 years, the talent on the line of scrimmage and at QB the last 4 years is what has gotten us beat again those guys.
But yeah LSU has a great recruiting base and any coach worth a damn with be able to get 99% of the top talent from Louisiana every year

This is true. Although LSU ought be able to snag those guys from Texas when Louisiana is low on those positions. I've always wondered at the lack of top flight LB talent too. Surprising to me.
