The current pastor and his family doesn't live in the house, they live somewhere else because he owns some type of company so he only comes around on Wednesdays and Sundays. Do pastors get good benefits? If so, that would be a good gig to have especially if you are a business owner, not to mention, on Sundays I see people stop by there throughout the day dropping off food to him and his family. So I bet they get enough food to keep their stomachs filled for most of the week.. So that cuts out expenses on groceries.

I know they get a housing tax break. Some churches provide a rent free house, others provide a stipend. Depends on what the pastor and/or the church prefers.
