JJ was a pocket passer who was asked to run. The fact that he was asked to run doesn't change what he was.

Dual threat literally means the QB is a legitimate option to either throw the ball or run the ball. It doesn't mean he has to be speedy enough to run the spread option. Davey, Russell, Lee, and Mett were pro style pocket passers. JJ was definitely a dual threat. You don't score on an 80 yard TD off an option keeper like he did against Tennessee in 2010 if you aren't a threat to run the ball. And that's just one example of JJ being a dual threat QB.
