More than most? escaping baton rouge twice against an inferior team, escaping Tenn against an inferior team, having a split title, and getting a rematch for another.

Saban has won the NC in 5 of his last 11 college seasons.
Sure, it always take some luck to win it all (we got our share in 2007 getting in the title game with 2 losses), but when you do it 5 of your last 11 college seasons, it ain't luck. Nowhere close.
No need for the Saban hate. He didn't leave us for another school - he went to the NFL. Then came back to the best job available at the time.
Spurrier did the exact same thing, and he's beloved down in Florida (just named the field for him and he has some position in the program).
Just tip your hat the Saban. And then kick his arse on the field.
