The NFL has the right to fine him for his actions. While he has 1st amendment right to free speech, he is protected from prosecution from the government not from the NFL. He represents them and the 49ers while he is in uniform.
Just like police officers. They can be disciplined for what they say while they are on duty because of who they represent.

I'm aware. I was responding to a post claiming that people who are offended by CK's actions aren't taking the SJW approach and demanding he be silenced for his actions. However there are a lot of people on this board and elsewhere demanding he be fined if he continues to sit during the anthem.
