Did you go into Playa del Carmen at all? We are staying a cheaper resort about 5 or 6 miles closer to Playa than where you were in 2 weeks.

We went to town one day and stayed about 6 hours. To be honest, we are exhausted from being so busy over the past 3 months so we just relaxed and chilled at the resort the entire trip. No excursions and other than one short trip to town, we didnt do a thing off the resort.

Wife and I stayed at Secrets Capri 2 weeks ago. 5 nights for $1850 (included insurance and private transfers). We really enjoyed Secrets Capri. It's a smaller and older resort and it was our 1st all-inclusive.
We did visit Secrets Maroma (got hooked into a sales presentation) and it is really, really nice. My wife didn't care that much for it, because she says it's too big.
