I grew up in East Feliciana Parish. It's nuts how high land prices have risen up there. I looked at buying 30-50 acres last year and most people want 10K-15K an acre for tracks that size. The cost per sq ft for a house is much lower but if you put it on any sizable track your back in the same boat as being in BR.
