I'll get some grief for this, but I subscribe to the notion that the words "hall of famer" immediately come to mind when you say the player's name, due to their notoriety as one of the best in the game for long portions of their career. The numbers may bear it out, but I don't feel that when I think about Adrian Beltre.

I feel the same. Which is why I argued with Astro fans a lot about Biggio. I never felt Biggio was a guy I wanted to watch a game for.

I didn't feel that way Blyleven or Jim Rice either.

I don't get a vote and I can be wrong.
