A player who hasn't played in a year won't see the first round

Tyrann Mathieu went in the third round after sitting out a year. And he had character concerns for sitting out a year due to being kicked off his team, plus he was a borderline first round talent without any concerns (hindsight is 20/20 but coming out of college he was undersized, don't think he would have been a first rounder)

Bosa has no such concerns and is a top 5 talent. He absolutely would go first round next year. Late first round he would be an absolute steal.

I wouldn't go with absolutely. First of all there are arguably better talents in this next draft anyway so even if he were coming out next year in the first place he probably wouldn't be a top 10 pick.

Out of sight out of mind as well, there's no substitute for playing football. He's not going to be as prepared or well conditioned as guys that have just been in college ball and are getting ready for the combine.

I think he's lucky if he goes late first next year. Early second sounds like a more realistic scenario.

Guess you forgot about his suspension vs Virginia Tech? While it did not play into much this year, it could come into play if he sits a whole year.
