The cold keeps the slackers out. Not saying that us you. But there is a reason Austin TX and Madison WI used to be similar size and now one is a giant traffic jam and the other is America's Best College town.
Personally I like the change of seasons. However a live oak dripping with Spanish moss has a special place in my heart too.
As a long time reader of this board it us good to see some quality Badger posters visit. And Ralph is just being Ralph.

Wisconsin fans think college football was invented in 1990 because before that they have a long history of sucking in college football. If you examine their Rose Bowl appearances you will see that they were meaningless games that had no impact on the national championship and Wisconsinites think they are an elite program in the annals of college football history.
They lack the accomplishments of Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and even the University of Chicago when it was in the Big Ten. Wisconsin fans are morons who would rather get drunk and have a good time instead of winning football games. If you look it up you will see that Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, and Minnesota all have accomplishments that put the Wisconsin program in perspective. Wisconsin is a second-tier big ten program historically and in the contemporary period. They cannot compete with UM, Ohio State, MSU, PSU, Nebraska, and Iowa. Minnesota has better facilities is in a much better metropolitan area than Madison which is a town that lacks the sophistication of East Lansing, Columbus, Ann Arbor and Minneapolis.
They have subpar facilities when compared to the Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, and even Minnesota when you look at the Nagurski complex and the new stadium. Camp Randell is a piss poor stadium that cannot even compare to Ohio State and Michigan Stadium in stature and lacks the upgrades that TCF Bank and Spartan Stadium have.
Your average Wisconsin fan is a drop-out of UW-Oshkosh or Whitewater who drives a pick-up truck and masturbates in his pick-up truck.

Your intense hatred for Wisconsin, which has spanned multiple boards (i.e. TD, Red Cedar, GopherHole), is a bit concerning.
In terms of on-field performance, attendance, and ranking as a top college town, I would say Wisconsin fans are "morons" that enjoy a combination of play and success.
In recent articles, ESPN and the Associated Press ranked Wisconsin as a Top-25 program, historically.
Not sure what you define as contemporary, but since you brought Penn State into the discussion, only Ohio State has more Big Ten Championships than Wisconsin since Penn State's inception into the Big Ten.
Truly am interested to read how you quantified the sophistication of Madison in comparison to East Lansing, Ann Arbor, Columbus, and Minneapolis.
Additionally, you would think with a "better facilities" and a more "sophisticated" city, the Gophers would not be in the midst of a 12 game losing streak to the Badgers.
... and you are?

Yeah, Bama trucked us pretty good. You know it's a bad day when you've got them in 3rd and 26 and Kenyon Drake goes the distance. Though, we did have them 14-7 at half (and it should have been 14-10, but fatty bricked a 34 yarder).
I have mixed feelings about opening against world-class opponents. Barry's MO of starting out against an Easter Illinois kind of opponent and then following up with a middling Power 5 team like Washington State wasn't sexy but it made sense.
The Badgers are always talented but we don't have 5 star frosh who spent their high school careers in NFL quality strength and conditioning programs.
It takes some time and experience for Badger teams to find their footing.
That said, it's awesome to have Gameday in Lambeau and just keeping it close in the 4th quarter will be pretty exciting. This is one of the rare games where a moral victory will actually be meaningful in terms of building confidence in a season when we're facing a hellish schedule.

Madison has grown A LOT since I graduated in '85. Not Austin, TX growth, but it's almost unrecognizable from the little burg I remember from my college days.

Typical Wisconsin fan. You like the idea of playing crappy teams to give you a bloated record. Why Wisconsin will never be a factor in the national championship. That is why your Rose Bowls were meaningless.

Vegas is only giving Wisconsin 3.5
I would not take it to the bank.
Two D-linemen out.
No one knows what Harris can do.
3.5 and home field. Not sure I would give 3.5 if I were the betting man.
Even thought its not on campus, its going to be 2/3rds red.
Its going to sound like home field if the game is on the line in the 4th quarter.

They don't have a defensive back on their roster that can cover Dupre or Dural....throw in Chark and it could get ugly
They can try and stack the box and limit Fournette, but they will have to pick their poison
