I really hate this misconception that Brandon was terrible last year. He wasn't the reason we lost a single game last November. It wasn't like the JL/J days were the rest of the team performed exceptionally well but the QB went 6/19 94 yards and we lost. The Oline and Dline were atrocious in November. Neither unit got any push whatsoever. Our oline allowed Brandon to get creamed and our Dline gave opposing QBs all the time in the world to throw. Football is won in the trenches and we were simply subpar.

OMG thank you! When people recite the same Brandon Harris was terrible nonsense, I stop listening or reading whatever they have to say. Absolutely zero attention paid to awful WR, OL, and secondary play. Harris wasn't the reason that Chad Kelly, Alex Collins, and Derrick Henry had a field day vs LSU. He wasn't the reason why the blocking turned to crap. A guy with an injury that limits his footwork (which limits everything else), needs some kind of protection. He needs some kind of help from the defense as well.

Of course he needs to improve, but if people think we would have won those games just by him improving and ignoring all the other problems, then they don't understand football. The opponent's scores could have been higher in all 3 of those games if they had wanted. Ole Miss stopped caring to score late in the 3rd quarter.

He wasnt good on timing throws. Yes his wrs didnt usually help him out but he struggled with accuracy on throws that are supposed to get him in rythym an instill confidence in him during a game.
BUT he has a great deep ball and thats something that usually takes a while to achieve and he can clean up most of his problems with practice on his footwork and reps. 70 % of our practice should ve devoted to the passing game. We know we can run the ball on less talented teams.
