Lost Choo for year. If this guy has anything left in the tank , maybe a change of scenery will help.

He's already on his way to Texas according to Heyman. Expected to play in 3-4 games with Roundrock before coming up.

You crazy if you think Beltre will put up with any of his bullshite.

Gomez may not listen to a 5'5 second baseman, but he'll sure as hell listen to a 37-year-old 3B with two WS appearances who is still raking or he'll be gone. Simple as that.

ZERO veteran leadership on the 'Stros

How come Deshields didn't listen to Beltre?

ETA: Gomez' actions weren't the problem, he turned into a terrible hitter and fielder.

That's the point. Houston is talented as hell, just no veteran leadership.

Beltre's leadership wont make Gomez remember how to hit or catch routine pop flys.

But im sure he will be a great teammate everytime he walks back to the dugout after a strike 3 he wasnt even close to connecting with.

Houston fans acting like he's going to be our starting CF. We have a pretty good one right now. He is going to be our 4th or 5th outfielder and he might play every now and then.

The rangers front office does good work trying to address issues, may work may not but they don't sit on their asses.

That's 2 of their big money investments down, one forever, and they are still in good shape and doing what they can to stay that way.

Lol I will.

I mean the standings tell the story. The Astros are an excellent team. I don't care how much you guys complain 5-9 through the line up. The team is VERY young and adjusting. If you don't think having a guy like Beltre hasn't helped Odor, Profar and Mazara's play in the pros you'd be very wrong. They've been quoted as saying as much. Even guys like Elvis have helped, he's been in the league for 7+ years.

Having guys who have been there before definitely help.

I mean I can't really blame Houston, they're trying to build they're own thing like KC did and I would be willing to bet it works, idk when, but it definitely helps when you have an older vet like Beltre to help work with 30 or so year olds who are struggling like Gomez was.

Fair enough. They'll be better leaders when they get more playoff experience.

no they aren't.

they are a pretty good team but have some big holes. they don't have excellent pitching and they don't have sufficient hitting in the bottom half of the lineup.
