Yep - going on disability right after going through Katrina. The first few years cost me around $300,000 in lost income and medical costs. Not to mention robbing me of pretty much everything I enjoyed recreationally. Definitely a case of "when it rains it pours." Not to sound cliche, but all you can do is roll with the punches. And I'm an atheist, so I used reality rather than "faith" to get through it.
